Bridget Prentice MP has praised local Primary School children who have taken part in this year’s competition to design her Christmas Card.

Every year Bridget invites the children from the Primary Schools in her constituency to design the Christmas card that she will use, and once again the standards have been very high, Bridget said “I had the difficult task of choosing a winner from a very high standard of entries, and would like to thank all of the children who participated as well as their teachers and schools”

As in previous years, local businesses have helped to sponsor the competition

• The winning card was designed by Ruchira Jayatilaka, aged 9 from St Mary’s C of E Primary School
• Second place was Summer Murray, aged 8 from John Ball Primary School, and third was Nicholas Watson aged 7 from Lee Manor School.
